Trustworthy, reliable, hard worker.
Signed him as a back up player, but ended up being more of a first teamer due to his work ethic, surprised me at the time. So maybe the club knew this and after 1 good season was sold for a quick buck thinking he may not always perform as good in future.
If it was today, maybe he would be even better as this type of midfielder is all the range, Alex Song, Makelele role.

No fucking neck and a fucking gooner as well.
DIdnt he go on Soccer Am after we lost against the Arsenal in the FA Cup. When asked if he was gutted said not really as he was a gooner

but better in the holding mid I thought, winger he wasn't all that.
I would put him in the Shaun Newton bracket.

He didn't seem confident when he first joined. He once said something about playing headphones in response to the grief the chicken run gave him, and angered West Ham fans, but claimed it was taken out of context and he meant fans in general at every ground. Then he played ok for a while, just as we decided to get rid of him. Harry was fuming as he never gave the nod and we had to exclude him from the squad before a game. The game he was could have been playing was on skysports so was quite a big deal, Derby away Keller maybe?

Perhaps an article on him might be more useful
To be honest the only clear memory I have of him is Harry getting the hump as he'd had to leave him out as someone wanted to buy him.
